Booker T

Grammy Nominated Booker T, is one of the UK’s most prolific and respected House music producers and DJ’s in the industry. He has enjoyed huge success, both in the commercial and underground music scenes.
Taking us way back to the early 90’s he worked with some of the most iconic indie labels, including Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, King Street, Slip N Slide and Quantize.
He has since, worked with major labels including Sony, Island, Arista, Atlantic and Warner.

Booker T Started Dj-ing at the Early Age of 14 as part of an original sound System at school discos, youth centres and blues Parties in & around Brixton, South London.
He could be heard making his mark in the early days spinning Reggae, Soul, Funk, Boogie, Hip Hop and Rare Groove.

During the years 1987-89 he was immersed in the rave music culture, and was introduced to Chicago House. He played his First Acid House Gig at Energy in London.

Touching down in NYC and New Jersey, Booker T was introduced to the sounds of Masters At Work, Todd Terry, and Tony Humphries, the leading DJ on Kiss FM and at Club Zanzibar. Excited by the vitality and atmosphere of New York’s night life witnessing the Underground Network with Louie Vega (Masters At Work) & Barbara Tucker at the Sound Factory Bar and Shelter helmed by Timmy Regisford, Booker T returned to London with a new musical focus… production of house music.

Booker T Started Playing at the famous Garage City Nights and headlined all the UK’s major house clubs including Back 2 Basics, Soul Heaven, Ministry of Sound, To the Manor Born, The End club, Hard Times, Club America (Wales) and many many more.

Spring-boarding from the heights of DJ and Music Production acclaim Booker T also enjoyed considerable International success, making his debut at the Garage City parties at Miami’s WMC.

He has played extensively around the world including headline sets throughout Europe including Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Greece and a residency at Es Paradis and Club Summum in Ibiza.
From Europe he travelled and played worldwide in the far east of Singapore and Malaysia, and throughout the US including Seattle, Houston, Texas, Washington DC, LA. Miami and San Francisco.
